BX Fuel Filter crossover

Has anyone found a cross reference (replacement) for the expensive Kubota BX fuel filters.

I remember a few years ago with the Cadet's with the new command series engine. They had a fuel filter that was expensive. It looked just like the generic filter that we were selling for less then half the price. So guess what we sold! Until we wound up with a mess of carburator problems as the filter median was to coarse and allowed to much crap into the carb. I looked at the filters and agree they are a lot of money compared to the others, but what does it cost to rebuild a injector pump? Kinda makes the filters pretty cheap!!!!

My thoughts exactly. Ten bucks a year for fuel filters is cheap comapred to the damage which can occur from improper filtration.
