I ahve about one week of maoderate work to do yet, moving backfill for a wall, about 4-6 tons. Curious if ya'll think I can continue to work without potentially damaging anything. I will have to top it off with 90 weight each morning. But wanted to hear what ya'll thought. The leak seams worse on the left side, it is at the knuckle joint. It sat for about one hour and I had two drips, the larger one was about 1" diameter.

I also have to get it home, which I have done by driving it, its about 8 miles and took me 1.5 hours last time. Will this damage anything after topping the axle off?

Do ya'll know what they charge to replace both sides? I may as well get both done as the right side only seems to have collected dust on the inside of the wheel hub, its very uniform, like there was oil misting, no drips or runs.

Could it be from overloading the bucket? I also have spacers on the wheels for hill side stability, I put on in June. Maybe a contributor?

as long as you keep oil in it you should be fine

Yes, keep oil in it and you will be fine. Do it yourself...not a whole lot to it. Did mine last year. One side was leaking but replaced both sides also.

I had an 1860 that would eat front seals in minutes. I had them replaced literally 10 times in 3 years, sometimes they would last for a bit, sometimes they would leak immediately. I had larger wheels and tires off of a larger BX as well as spacers. The dealership swore that the issue was the wheels and spacers, having said that they sold me the wheels. I eventually gave up and just kept topping it off, and then recently traded the BX in on a B2320. I had the larger tires to give me a little more ground clearance and felt it helped with that, but hurt in respect to turning radius. They assured me if I lost the spacers and put the stock wheels back on that my problems would be solved. I opted to upgrade instead and true to their word when they put it out fron for sale it had stock tires and no spacers....also no leak.

I felt very frustrated and disapointed that the seal kept leaking, I had a beautiful tractor that had never spent a night outside, had all the proper maintenance and would still drip on my barn floor. Mine had about 320 hrs on it when I traded it in. If I remember correctly for trucking and 1 seal it ran about 240 bucks or so. Mine was always the right side (as you're in the seat), never the left.
