The dipstick on my BX is different than the one it shows in the owners manual. I find it strange that they would change it this much and not mention it. My ZT Mower has a Bota 3 cylinder diesel and it is more like the one in the manual. There are 2 holes about two inches apart and it seems like a wide space for a one quart difference. I guess the top is full and the bottom a quart down. Anybody? photo (10).JPG

I always took the top hole to mean "full" and the bottom hole to mean "add", if that is what you are asking.

I like it. The yellow cross-hatched version on my BX makes it hard to read the oil level. The new version looks more "automotive".

Its just hard to believe that 1 quart can fill the pan the two inches between the holes. On the old stick it was like 3/4" for a quart. It is easy to read though.
