BX Category 1 Hitches

My first potato plow/middle buster was a yellow one from TSC. Since they had many OEM's back then, it is hard to say, but it was far too long in the shaft and I couldn't transport across even slightly uneven ground, Went back and got the orange one and I've worked it every since. Love it.

Bought the King Kutter single row cultivator. I found there were a piece of iron extensions, built into the frame that interfered with the lower arm stabilizers and bent the crap out of them. The solution in that case was to cut those 2" "ears" off with a hack saw and it worked, although it's fitment was better with the B2320. The disc, as I said earlier, has 16" cutting disks so it's design is simple too high for the BX.

With the higher B2320, there was never much doubt, but with the BX's you just have to evaluate each implement and see what's what.

Why did you get rid of the 2320? Seems to be the right size.

Thanks for the feedback and the pics. Is there a handy dandy chart somewhere that lists the Cat 0 and Cat 1 specifications?

I figured as much that the 6' blade would be too much for the BX, and wondered what would really be optimal, a 4' of a 5' just for general home use. With the age and condition of my blade I wouldn't have a problem modifying it to fit, but if I can get a smaller one around the $300 range....?

A 5' blade is a good match for the BX. I have a had 2 blades for the BX. The first was a Woods RBC60. It was a Cat 1 and Cat 0 blade. This was the blade I mentioned earlier that would just barely touch the ground. I added a couple of holes to to my QH so I could make the blade go lower. (see the 2 sets of lift are holes in the QH)

I now have a Woods RB60 blade. It is heavier than the other blade. The moldboard is taller. It works good on the BX. The more a blade weighs the better it is for grading.

If I was going to buy a new blade today for the BX it would be the EA value blade. Everything Attachments 60 inch, 6 Way Deluxe Value Scrape Blade for Compact Tractors with 25-50 HP V2.0

I also recommend a quick hitch for a BX. Those turnbuckles are a pain to adjust every time you hook and unhook a implement. Just be sure you get QH compatible implements.

Went from a BX to a B, now back to a BX. All superb tractors. The BX simply better suits my current situation. Love it.

Very nice!!!
