Does anyone have a "tufline" box blade? I am wondering how well they hold up and if 11 cubic feet is too much for the BX 23? Any box blade thoughts for a BX 23 are welcome. Thanks in advance gang!

I think the new ones have been completely redesigned, but I had a 48" Monroe Tufline box blade 1995 to 1999 with my B7100, and it really was a tough one.

I have a Woods GBC48 which claims to be a 9 Cu ft. capacity on my BX23 and it works well. I guess I would say that if they gain they extra 2 Cu ft. by making the box wider ( 60 inches vs. 48 inches) then you should think about going with something smaller. If they gain the 2 Cu. ft. by making it taller then it might work ok depending on what type of soil you are dealing with. I can bog down my BX23 with the Woods if I dig too deep - it will however drag the box when it is full without a problem as long as I don't hook on a rock or try to rip tight sod.

Thanks guys. This helps a bunch. I think I will stick with the 9 cubic feet version since I have some fairly stiff soil and some rocks. Thanks again!

The manual says to use a 42" box blade on the BX23. I have a 48" and it works well as long as I don't take too big a bite or have the scarifiers too deep in the rocky soil here. I think a 5' would be a little much for the BX.
