BX 60\" Mower Deck Question....

What causes the MMM to go out of adjustment. I am careful with mine not to hit rocks and other obstructions. I noticed this last cut, that one side was lower than the other by a full inch when measured at the edge of the deck. I checked all mounting locations and it is properly installed. I removed the deck and found a lot of clippings underneath. I am in the process of cleaning these out, but I know that the deck is definitely off balance. Any thoughts as to what might cause this sudden loss of alignment??????? I checked the blades and they are all in alignment. Also checked the spindles for lateral runout and there is none..... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Are there adjustable arms from the three point hitch to the mower lift assembly?

Re: BX 60\" Mower Deck Question....

Junkman,

This is just a guess...could it be the weight of all that grease you pumped into the spindle on the low side? /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

On a less serious note, could one of the nuts on the self-balancing assembly have come loose, causing spring pressure to be different and the deck to pivot, lowering one side and raising the other?

I remember the manual showing something about how they should be set. Maybe this would be a first point to check. Other than that...don't have a clue...
