A couple of times I have set the parking brake and forgot to release it and drove the tractor. My mind was on something else.
My question... Did I do any damage ? Any way to check ?

You did no damage. You had no brakes in the first place. You can set the so-called "brakes" on a BX and use the thing for days with no great impediment. Eventually you will realize the brake is on...The brakes on all the BX I ever operated (6 or 7 of them at least) are utterly worthless. I am fairly sure I can stand in front of the tractor and hold it back (using both hands and good tennis shoes) from motion with equal or better effectiveness than the so-called brakes.

My own BX2200 (I've had for 25 years) has the high brake pedal right above the "go forward" end of the pedal for the HST. MANY times I have goosed the thing suddenly forward while intending to hit the brake. Terrible design. When I do succeed in using the brake it amounts to a minor slow-down, like you were pulling an extra load. On a barely sloping driveway you can park the BX and set the brake as tight as your leg allows. It will stop the tractor from coasting most of the time unless the driveway is steep. If you have some need to actually stop serious motion in EITHER direction the only real brake you have is the HST pedal (hitting reverse to stop forward motion. And that only works when the motor is running...) These are wonderful little tractors that can do amazing things but braking is not one of them.

I’m not sure I agree the brakes are worthless. I also left the parking brake on with the BX I owned a couple of times and in low range it was hard to tell. You probably just put some wear on the brakes. I know at one point I had to adjust the brakes and take some slack out.

The big issue I see is that the brake is part of your transmission, not at the wheels like a car. If you're dragging your brakes, the brake pads will wear and replacement means opening up the trans, so it would not be a simple fix

It is a wet disc brake system which has 4 discs total. Think of it as a motorcycle clutch setup. It is immersed in the transmission fluid. While it can be worn out, it would take a long time for it do this. Tractor currently has 2,500+ hours on it, and I'd like to say I've probably "rode" the brakes well over 50 hours in it's lifetime. Brakes still work fine, and I've yet to adjust them because it holds just fine on inclines with load. Besides anytime I am on an incline, I drop the loader on edge to dig in a little bit if it does decide to move.

I still remember when I first got my BX back in 2002, I accidentally mowed the entire lawn (4 hours) with the brake engaged. Felt dumb.

Hard to imagine that a 4 wet disc brake system could possibly be so useless and ineffective. But it is. Mowing for 4 hours with that brake set pretty removes any doubt as to how effective those brakes are.

Mine will begin to stall the engine if I try to move it in high range, and in low range it is really obvious that there is a very large drag happening. The brake will easily hold it on a 15-20 degree hill.

Never had a problem hitting the wrong pedal.
