The hood on my BX-24 rubs against the front of the cowling. I can't seem to find any adjustment other than to shim the hood lift assembly by placing washers under the 4 bolts that attach the hood lift assembly to the chassis member located just above the muffler.

Anybody else have this issue?

I have the same issue on my MF. I was able to adjust the hood catch up on one side, but the Kub is different I think. Anyway now I have a big gap on one side of the cowl, underneath the hood, and the other side fits flush. But now it sits even across the instrument panel. So much for fit and finish:confused3:.

I had this problem after I removed my hood. I fixed it by loosening the two black knobs that hold the cowling on and sliding the cowling a little bit aft. Do you have any room to do this? You can see the two knobs in the photo.

No, there isn't any more room to slide the cowling toward the rear. It is at the end of the slot.

Shimmed mine too. No more squeaking as the hood raises from rubbing on the cowling.
