Has anyone put either front or rear tire chains on their BX 2350? I'm having all kinds of traction issues this winter while plowing and I know chains would help. I question whether there is enough clearance for chains. I assume some sort of tensioner is a must....but even with it seems pretty tight.

Any success stories out there????

I've had chains on mine for two winters and I've had no problems.

Thanks.....do you have them on front and back? Did you get the chains from a dealer or use a supplier....like tirechains??

I just recently purchased some 2-link cross chains for my BX2660, and it's like a whole new tractor. They took a bit of doing to get on, but once I read the instructions, the snow quickly surrendered. My dealer got me a set for $170 + tax, which I thought was pretty good. I've had a number of people tell me I probably should have gotten ice chains, but I don't think I'll acutally need them; the cross chains seem to give me more than enough traction for my minimal grades.

on my 3rd winter with tirechains.com chains on the rear, big improvement on the ice with R4's and the 3pt blade. I also got the tension springs, chain install is very easy. Very happy with the upgrade :D

If you buy 2-link, you will not need tensioners, if they are installed tightly. (rear wheels)

4-link, you probably will.

The proximity of the steering linkage to the front rim makes chain installation there almost impossible.

Thanks.

I will go with 2-link on the rear.
