what is the correct dimension for ordering a tooth bar for a bx 23 with the 48 inch bucket? inside dimension? thanks in advance

shownuff, the inside dimensions of the bucket is 46.5 ". There are several links/sites that you can order one after you give them the inside dimensions of the bucket

I bought mine [for a BX-22] from Carver. As soon as I told him the tractor make, they knew what to ship. Fits perfectly.

mine (from Carver, made by W.R. Long) was $300. It has six teeth, no "V-bar". I've attached a picture, prior to attachment.

Im really curious about the digging capabilities of the bucket with and without the toothbar. Does having the toothbar really help break ground and dig down better? Brad

In a word, YES. I use mine to also rip out small roots and brush. Then I use the teeth like a rake and pile the brush/roots for burning.

It weighs just over 50 pounds, so it could go UPS. My take is that Markham has a deal with the trucking co to give them the business in exchange for 2 day delivery promise. That deal probably extends to other, heavier items they sell too.

If this were shipped via UPS, the cost is $72.00 with 3 day delivery. It would be as low as $32 if it took the slow boat.

I can't remember which machine you have (no profile). On my BX 23 it is a necessity. Makes all the difference in the world on a little BX.

Add a grapple to the tooth bar and you have the best rock picker that you can get. Also works great to pick up logs and other big items and hold them in the bucket...... Junk...
