BX 23 FILTERS CROSS REFERENCE?

Filters are only supposed to be tightened 1/4 turn from where the oil seal ring touches.

That means I always use my hand and never resort to a spanner to tighten or undo an oil filter.

They never leak or come loose.

If you tighten them too much you can destroy the seal and have a leak.

I looked my bx1500 filter up in a Hastings cross ref catalog and it crossed to a LF523. I'm sure Wix or Napa or your favorite filter manufacturer would list one. The 523 is a common filter on newer Honda six cyl autos, so most filter manufacturers should have their version. Just look up your application and see what comes up. I think the Bx's use the same filter but I'm not positive.
