Is it possible/practical to keep the 3pt hitch in the up position while using the mid mount mower? I can keep the mower deck up while using the 3pt, can't figure out how to go the other way. The arms tend to dig in when I back up on unlevel ground.

use rope or chain to hoist the 3-point up to the top link.....maybe

I had a BX 2350 and the 3 point was setup to pin up. It seems like there were some eyelets for it but it’s been several years ago I traded it so I don’t remember the details.

The three point lowers by gravity so any method to hold it up should work. You may also try slowing the lowering speed to zero by adjusting the valve by your feet.

You could undo the arms and pin/tie them up, but the rockershaft still has to move in order for the deck to go down, unless you just limit the 3pt to keep the arms off the ground but allow the deck to set on the height adjuster.

Most 3ph’s use gravity/weight for their down force. Double check yours by hold an non implement attached arm up and operate the lower lever. Once you know for certain there is no hydraulic down force on your lift arns, get a piece of chain or strap or whatever and secure the arms (without implement) in the up position (near top but not all the way, some slack will make removing a chain much easier). A piece of chain around the top link pin and around either lift arm and hooked to itself will work.

I am trying to figure out why your arms are dragging on the ground. On my BX24 the arms are 9" above the ground at their lowest point. Pictures??

I have a B2330 and my arms just barely clear the ground. On mine the arms are what actually lift the mower deck. Same on my B1550. So I had an old set of lift arms where I had made a three point hitch for my dad's Farmal C which I don"t use any more for a working tractor since I restored it. I cut one of the lift arms In two in the middle and put them on my Kubota. Now I don't have the problem of them digging into the ground. When I need the three point I just put the original arms on.

I have a BX2230. It has a set of eyelets right below the rear tire fenders. Unpin the vertical arms from the lift arms and move them to the eyelets. My 3pt arms arm stationary as they are moving with a rear implement. Jon
