OK guy's, I need a 60" back blade for the 2200. I would like to have tilt and offset. I have looked at KK. The price is nice ($230) but it sounds like I would need to alter the pin location. I don't have a welder!

I know there are MANY 2200's out there, please let me know what you have for a back blade and about how much it is going to cost me.

Spring is here and I need to do a lot of clean up!
Thanks for the help.

I got a Woods RBC60 5' blade for $300 but it doesn't tilt.

Bob B.,
Is that the new compact model backblade? If it is, how do you like it? Does it match up well with the BX? Is it as rugged as most Woods equipment?
I am interested in the backblade and a landscape rake, but I have never seen the new line. Thanks for any information.

Will.........

Just so happens that I was at the dealer today and looked at all 3 of the new Woods Estate Series attachments. I do own a RB60 back blade and even after making mods to it, I didn't like the way it worked with the BX22.

What I noticed today.......

RBC-60 rear blade. Mold board is much lower, which makes whole mount lower, which allows the blade to be higher from ground when 3pt. is raised all the way up. This is what I was looking for, more ground clearence when raised.
It is built lighter, but I don't think cheaply. No tilt. $415.00w/shoes.

GBC48 Box Scraper. Did not have it connected to a tractor, but looked good. 4 scarifiers. $415.00

LRC60 Landscape Rake. Still in crate but built good. They made tines shorter so whole unit would be lower. Optional guage wheels pricey. $605.00 w/guage wheels.

I sure would like all 3 /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Let me know what you find on prices, thanks George

ges,
Can you give me more detail on the gbc box blade? Have one on order and have never seen one. How do the 3ph connections look? I had the dealer mount the gb 48" box (cousin to your rb) and could pop the front end of the bx2200 off the ground putting my foot on the box. Clearance was 3 to 4" with 3ph all the way up. I'm hoping the gbc will fit better.

Geez.....can't really help ya there Dave. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif They only had the blade mounted on a tractor, but it is smaller (lower) than the GB48. I would have to bet that it will be a better fit and less weight since it is a new line just for these type of tractors....but I didn't try it. When yours comes in, have them mount it on a tractor there and try it. The other thing that I was concerned about was if they were too light in construction? I don't think so for the BX line. But that's only my opinion. Also to be fair, I have not looked at the KK XB series. I do like woods stuff in the past, but at that time I had a bigger tractor. George

ges,
Thanks for the reply. A shorter box will most likely make a big difference. BTW, Woods doesn't list the weight of the gbc in their brochure, but the dealer told me it was 335 lbs. I will definitely have him mount it and check it out.

Something interesting to relate: one mechanic told me they were having a problem bending up top links on bx's. Said that in some instances (popping a box blade up while ripping maybe?) that the implements were generating enough upward velocity that the top link would fold up and the implement would smack the back of the tractor good. He said that the bx with its low 3ph was to blame. Anybody have this happen??
thanks again,
DaveL

Hoober's - Middletown, Delaware (also has a place in PA) - quoted me 295 for the rear blade and 585 for the rake with wheels - I ordered the rake for the BX 2200 that's also on order.

Yes, it is the new compact line. It sure seems to match up with the BX pretty well. I am a newbie to this tractor and to back blades and I really bought this for snow removal on my large paved driveway. I haven't really tested it yet because it hasn't snowed since. I have dropped it a couple of times on the lawn in some spots where I'm planning on doing some landscaping and it dug in pretty good and peeled up some mossy turf. I appears to be pretty rugged but I don't have a whole bunch to compare it with. From the stats sheet:

Weight 160#

Moldboard thickness 7 guage

Cutting edge 1/2" x 6" x 60 reversable

Position: 360 degree pivot

Offset left or right 12"

Angle left or right 15 or 30 degrees

Pitch controled by top link

Max 25 HP

Comes with parking stand.

The rake is similar but weighs 220# and has 30 5/16" x 1" HT High carbon tines. All other stats are the same.

Hope this is helpful! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
