I have been operating the backhoe on the BX 22, but to me it seems very slow in its operation. It has plenty of break out force, but when moving from side to side, lowering the outriggers, boom up or down, it is just plain slow. I have found that it is just impossible to make it jerk the machine when you move a lever quickly as most backhoes would do in that instance. Is it my machine or are they all like that? The one good thing about this is that it makes an inexperienced operator look like he knows what he is doing. You just can't make a fast move. I am operating it at 1/2 to 3/4 throttle. Even at full throttle, it is the same.

Should not be like that. Mine at full throttle will move the complete bx!. Get it looked at asap.

Make sure the lever that raises and lowers the 3pt hitch is centered. if it is in one direction or the other it can cause you to lose some hydraulic power. I read this on another post awhile back but not sure who wrote it. My backhoe moves fast at 3/4 throttle if you open the valve all the way in any direction. same for stablizers.

I was the one that made the original post about the 3 point hitch stealing power from the tractor. This isn't the case with this problem. It is just slow moving no matter what the engine speed....

Junkman- It sounds like a valve is half stuck open/closed. Does your loader work correctly?

Junkman,

Can you check to make sure that one of your hoses is not pinched.

Slow hydraulics is due to low flow so check your rear hydraulics quick connects and the BH counter parts. Make sure they have nothing stuck in them and that the check balls are fully disengaging. Also check the obvious, that they are fully engaged(connected). If that all checks ok and if I remember correctly your machine is still under warranty so take it in and have them check the actual flow at the rear hydraulics(They should have a flow meter). It is possible that there is an obstruction in the hydraulic block if the reading is indeed low.
