You can probably answer that better than we can. The HP rating really only translates to how fast you can get something done. Are you the kind of guy who picks the biggest engine in a car when buying? Do you like big chainsaws, fast motorcycles, etc, or do you not mind going slower and saving some money?

Either the 2650 or the L2501 will do what you want, but not as fast as a higher HP tractor. The B will be better for mowing, especially up hills, because it needs less power to move the tractor, leaving more for the mower. The L will pull the box blade better (or any soil engaging implement) because it can put it's power to the ground better with more weight and bigger tires.

Drive both of them, ideally with a couple of implements, but at least try scooping some dirt with the loader.

Good luck in your search, and let us know what you choose.

I have a b2920, so similar power wise. I don't think you will have any power issues for the work you describe. I run a 4" pto chipper, 60" blower, 6' brush hog and do snow, FEL, backhoe and tree work with no issues. If you're moving big rocks or doing lots of ground work with the FEL you may benefit from a larger/heavier form factor, but then you can't fit in tigh spaces (woods work) and have to think of compaction. For snow I would get some chains, regardless of tire type they make a huge difference.

Other considerations, besides the ones already mentioned, could be a place to store the unit. ... e.g. the B2650 with ROPS up or down probably sits lower than any "L" model for clearance. Or, the length of a trailer to haul the unit is much longer with a brush hog on the rear vs a MMM. Anticipating ones needs is difficult for a newbie.

I'm really between the 2650 and the 3350 b series... Just making sure I'll be happy with 26hp

When in doubt, buy the larger tractor.

BUY ENOUGH TRACTOR is a mantra here.

(This is not the same as BIGGER IS {ALWAYS} BETTER.)

I have moved up three times. Twice should have been enough. While selling the used machines was inconvenient, Kubota depreciation I realized was only $10 per engine hour.

It sounds like the regen issues with the B3350 are getting worked out. If you do decide no mmm and hence no need for mid pto, Kubota does have the B3350SU model w/o the mid pto. I didn't look if it has extendable link arms and a couple other comfort items, but that you could upgrade. You will save a chunk of money and along with savings of mmm put that money towards a dedicated mower as others have suggested.

You have a pretty large property, and having said all of that, yes the B2650 would work but I would take another look at the L series to make sure. Sit on the smallest grand L for all those bells and whistle!

Since this is your first tractor, I do think each time you go look, sit etc. you might pickup a little more sense of details and needs that will be important in the long run.

In any event, enjoy your new tractor!

What it the loader lift capacity at the pins when comparing the b2650 and b3350?

I had a b3300su (3350 predecessor) and was very happy but time is valuable to me so I upgraded to save time. Traction and loader capacity were it's most frequent limitations. Mowed my yard with 6ft finish mower and loaded r4 tires without much damage. If you decide against the MMM look hard at the 3350SU version.

My last tractor had a 60" MMM and I used it as my primary mower (about 4 acres of grass). It worked well for me but others have valid points on the proprietary nature of one as well as it's cost. I would leave mine on all summer for the most part and only remove it if I had to. I would take it off in the fall so snow plowing would be easier. A three point finish mower will be easier to put on/off plus it can be moved from tractor to tractor if you ever sell this one. You might also be able to find a used one at a reasonable price. That's the route I would go if I did it over again.
