Buying a New Tractor

I'm seriously looking into a new tractor and would love some input. I have 1 acre of reletively flat ground in northern nevada. Mainly I want the tractor for leveling my lot, but want to hog out some dirt for a gravel road and pavers in the front yard.

Initially I was looking at a BX1500 w/box scraper, FEL, & Bar Tires (Quoted price - $11,800). Now I am leaning towards the BX2230 same attachments (quoted $13,100). For an extra $1300 it kind of seems like a no brainer.

No sooner than I started looking at the 2230 the dealer also suggested a JD 2210 as well. Now I'm wondering if I should just pony up another couple grand and go with a B-Series.

Any thoughts?

For 1 acre I would look at renting, several days of rental fees on a larger tractor and you would still come out many $$$ ahead.

If you just flat out want a tractor to work/play with then for $1300 I would opt for theBX2230 or comparable JD.

I would also say thats a no brainer. I think a BX would be plenty of tractor for your needs.

Thanks for the input. I think that the 2230 is the way to go. I filled out the credit application today, so hopefully I will be ordering it soon!

I would get a kioti ck20. Much better tractors

For similar money, as the BX2230 equally equiped, you could get a Mahindra 2015 HST W/loader and box scraper, and have a heavier duty tractor than even the Kubota B series.

You only have one acre....Go with the BX. I think a B is a bit too big for one acre, but what do I know.
