I am buying a GC-1710 TLB it has a finishing box blade.
I have a 5 brush hog can the tractor handle it should I sell I and buy a 4 brush hog?
It the factory warranty transferable?
I am buying from a individual.

Depends what your cutting with the bush hog.. My 4ft with cut anything.. If you go by "5 PTO HP = 1ft of cutter, the 4 footer is the way to go..

Maybe I will put it up for trade someone that has a 4’ brush hog will want to trade me for my 5’ one.
I really don’t use the brush hog much maybe on ½ acre every year. Just to keep it clear.

I have a Belarus 300 it weighs 4500 pounds. 36HP 29HP PTO diesel with 264 hours.
TractorData.com Belarus 3 tractor information
they are the same as the 250 but with power steering.
I have a woods 650 backhoe attachment. I wonder what I can sell it for?
I know they don’t hold value very well.

My GC 1710 is a workhorse, I suspect you will be pleased with yours. If you don't let the weeds get too tall I suspect a 5' bush hog would work. Probably the most difficulty will be when first engaging the PTO.

If you have an 1/2 acre with say 1/4 inch brush, weeds and grass I would just use the 5 footer, it will handle it but for someone using a 5ft on a 18.7PTO tractor and cutting a lot of brush and a few acrea's I would say the 4ft would be the way to go.. As far as the backhoe, I have no idea..

I am pretty excited to get the 1710.
If you are digging a 6’ trench can you move the tractor from the backhoe seat forward another 2’ to keep digging?

I will just cut the with the 5’ brush hog before I sell the Belarus that way I will have some time to think about what to do with the 5’ brush hog.

I am thinking of selling the old Belarus 300 with the backhoe attachment maybe that will be more attractive to someone.

Only way to move it forward I know of is to lift the stabizer's with the bucket off of the ground with the tractor in neutral move it forward with the hoe. Otherwise you need to get to the hydro pedals somehow..

I saw someone in a video using a stick to push on the pedal but maybe the using the hoe would be a better idea.

I pick it up on Sunday the owner said it have two years warranty left on the power train and it is transferable.
I was happy with that.

I move my machine with a stick to reach the pedals while seated at the hoe all the time. I also use the hoe to push it forward if needed. I can steer either with the front wheels or by lifting the rear of the machine and moving it sideways. 2010 GC2610 with 750 hours and no repairs yet other than dropping too much firewood on the hood and having a steering hose rub until it leaked.

I might be digging trenches for Geothermal install these are very long trenches. Moving the tractor this way would really save time.

Take a piece of 2inch wide bar stock three feet long and clamp it to the forward pedal, the two pedals are connected to each other so when you move the forward pedal forward with the clamped on bar, it goes forward, if you pull it towards you from the backhoe seat the tractor moves backwards.

Just push it forward with the hoe, I have a 60" bush hog and it does fine.

When I dug out the stump last weekend I was able to keep the tractor in neutral lift FEL put up outriggers and move the tractor with the hoe easily. Just like you described.
This will make digging the trenches so much simpler and faster.
How big of brush do you mow with the 60” brush hog.
I asked the dealer and they said to sell my 60” brush hog a get a 48” one they said it would be to hard on the tractor and it clutches.

I cut 1"plus or so with brush hog. Back in if its thick, you don't have a lot of clearance underneath. Get yourself a 1x2 foot piece of metal ($20 from Lowes) and a couple of small u bolts and protect the hydraulic pump seals and fan underneath. Grass and twigs can trash your seals if they get wrapped around the shaft.
