Buy a Kioti or Stay Away Please Help Looking to buy a new Tractor CK30 HST/CK35 HST

Windshield washer fluid is cheaper than Rimguard. If you buy -30F WWF on sale you can get if for a buck or buck and a half per gallon. Rimguard costs closer to three/gal at least at retail. You can also install WWF yourself with the aid of gravity which cuts costs if you do it after taking delivery of the tractor. I'm pretty sure Rimguard requires a pump and is not generally available except at tractor/tire dealers. Rimguard is heavier though (at least 10lbs/gal as I recall, very close to CaCl) and would give you something around 20% more weight than WWF (which weighs about 8lbs/gallon or a bit less than water). Except for the cost though Rimguard is great. I had it on my CK20 and wish I'd had it installed on my DK.

I did a quick search and the only Canadian reference I could find to Rim Guard was in Ontario..........

That's the stuff. I believe it is manufactured in Michigan so it would seem odd that they don't sell it in Canada post NAFTA given that they clearly "export" all the way to New England.

RimGuard for sure! I paid 2.25 a gallon. I can't say what it would be like without it. I had it added before they delivered the tractor. It's got to be good, I dig,left a pull with no worries. Kioti Love!

I've been calling around here in Nova Scotia and alot of people still use Calcium Chloride and think I'm crazy when I mention the word rim guard lol I guess Nova Scotia hasn't seen it on the market yet. Windshield Washer fluid might be the way to go over calcium chloride bu I'm still going to look for rim guard availability in canada Any help on the search for it in Canada would be great Thanks

My tires have a product called Ballast star, same idea as Rimguard beet juice based. No problems after 1 year and it didn't freeze last winter. I personally would avoid calcium chloride.
