I agree. But some people look anyways and still complain. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

My big problem with NH is the sloped hood. When doing field work, the sloped hood is no good at all. I use a squared off hood to line my rows up.

Daryl we could get one of them pretty blue New Hollands and put curb feelers on it to line up the rows for you. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I agree about the new Blue, but I LOVE the Farmalls, smart move going in both directions at once!!!

I love the way the new Farmalls look, too. Having a dealer nearby with a couple doesn't help matters any, either! /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif lol

I like them. At first they looked a bit strange, but after I saw these 04's with the FEL on them, they looked terrific.

Each to his own....I do think that the paint scheme is prettiest on the NH tractors. Ok, that said, my wife would choose on color alone...if she had the choice.

Actually, those Kubotas were orange ugly to me at first, now I like them. Ya can spot 'em a mile away!

Do you love the Farmalls more than your Deere? I hope your not going to get rid of trusty GREEN for a red. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Based on your statements of ugly and problems of removing the MMM I seriously doubt there will be a New Holland in your driveway.

As far as the MMM, I have a 72" and yes it can be tough to remove and put back on, but if you know what your doing and find the right spot to set the wheels it is easy.

I think that the 2004 NH Boomers are the best looking tractor of all the big three new models. I liked it so much I bought one.

Oh, look outside the window, a pig flew by!

Maybe I will.

I was at my NH dealership yesterday. I looked at a lot of new Boomers and I could not see any difference in the "butt-end" of any of them. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

... of course, the front end looks like Liz Taylor's eyes after too many face lifts. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Sigh... I think we are gonna hear a lot more on this topic. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Even though I like the design, I know there are quite a few who don't. Maybe NH did it to boost sales of the new Farmalls? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Personally, I haven't seen a new farmall. However, I am reasonably sure that Raymond Lowey didn't have any say in their design.

I know, who is Raymond Lowey?

If you collect vintage Farmalls, you know who R. Lowey is.

The last Farmall I looked at was at a farm show about 6 years ago. It was a cultivator tractor much like the 1941 A that I restored some time ago and then consequently sold. The major difference was that it was a diesel and the build plate said "Made in Japan". While that's not all bad, I would think that Mr. Lowey might turn over in his grave if he saw the build plate.

I always enjoyed running the offset "A". You have an exceptionally good view of your implement as well as what is in front of your tractor.

Raymond Lowey also designed the world's most innovative car . . . the AVANTI.

At least NH is going ahead across the board with the Montgomery concept looks. They all look better than the 8020 Deere which has to be the ugliest tractor known to anyone in the universe!! CIH should soon be do for an update. Their corporate look dates back to the mid- late 90s and the MX series of tractors. It looked good for it's day,but is now getting a little long-in-tooth.......

Personally. I hurried up and purchased a "03" Boomer before they ran out of them. Its not the change in the lights that I didn't care for it was the new decals that they are using. Bought a "03" TC40D and they put on a "04" 16LA loader on it. The new loader has the new style decals on it. Oh well, I'm getting used to it.

Indeed they are ugly. Personally, I don't care for styling on a tractor since it makes it look weak and civilized, like us. Leave it to massey to produce new square blocky tractors like the 400 series. As for compacts, I still don't feel the need to style it like an Infinity when it is more likely to end up hauling clay, rocks and garbage.

I have not checked, but have been told they do not. They were ugly at first but like other things you get used to it.
