I have a Bushhog 286 model and just recently changed the blades and bolts with Bushhog brand replacement parts. After changing blades and bolts, the blades will not rotate freely and can be moved only by pulling on them very hard. The bolts were attached with the keys lined up with the slots. Anyone have any ideas on what could be the problem?

im not so sure you need to worry about it.. the centrifugal force when you engage the PTO should force them where they need to go..

If you can move them by hand (albeit with a little force) then maybe they just need to break in some? Did you put any grease on them when you reinstalling new hardware??
