Oil & Fuel bummed...

Don't know how this site works...I have an early '80 s Ford 1200 with a two-cylinder Shibaura diesel in it...starts, runs a second or two, dies...cleaned fuel system as far as fuel pump but didn't seem to help...any ideas short of fuel pump or injectors??? Tanagerdunn

How about the tank vent? It should bee in the fuel cap.

come to think about it had the same thing on my John Deere took needle cleaned out hole in gas cap works fine now.

Check your fuel filter while you are at it....look for water and plain gunk..

As Lens12 pointed out in another thread, perhaps the fuel line has not been properly bled.
