Bulldog 285 loader "float"

I have a Mitsubishi D1650FD with a Bulldog 285 loader. Two questions:

1. Is there a way to set the blade to "float"? In other words, I'd like the blade to be free to ride up and down over irregularities when I'm dragging it to grade an area.

2. Anyone have a service manual or know where I can get it? Best Used tractors doesn't have it, only the parts manual.
