Built my first attachment for loader

[/IMG]I finally got around to building some quick attach forks for my John 2750 with a 245 loader. The folks over at the Hobart web gave me a great recommendation on 7018 rods on DC+. It made welds that looked better than I ever thought I could make.

Thanks for the kind words. I know it doesn't look factory, but I think the tractor will break before it does. My dad and I argued about the channel iron on the ends. I wanted to put a grate so that things cant fall back on the operator and he wanted to cut them off. We compromised and let them stay since it is a self leveling loader..

Thanks, we were very lucky on the material, It all came from the scrap heap at the local steel supplier. We found the plates that the bar goes through with the holes already in them. We paid about $70 for all of the pieces except for the bar, we had to buy a 20 foot piece that was $65. I got the forks from a local forklift supply for $175 cash and they are rated for 6,000 pounds. Most importantly, I have the confidence to build more stuff now.
