Build a tiller out of a boxblade???

This seems like a do-able project. Anyone tried anything like this? Could be pto driven or hydraulic. Might be a good winter project for someone (including me). I have an old box blade, old mower/brush hog for drive mechanism, will try to find some old junk tillers for tines, some pipe and bearings, chain, and who knows....wish me luck. MrJimi has been requesting pictures. As soon as I get my son to show me how, they will be coming. Then I'm sure the safety police will be all over me.

How about one of those things that make holes in the ground and they look like dog poopie? hook it up to a chain drive and have it turn little faster than you are going, kinda like a rotating broom on the front of a sweeper except it would be hard steel in stead of bristles, I think they call them aerators and you could use 3/4 re-bar for fingers. Did that make any sense? LOL

Most things are do-able.

If I were doing it though, I'd forgo trying to rework the old stuff and find a place that sells drop off or surplus iron. We have a nice place locally. Generally, I can find the size of material I need and they will make one cut free, so if I need a 5ft section of 4x4 tubing, they will saw that off a 20ft stick. No muss, no fuss, and it's clean and straight to start with!
