Since last Friday I've been getting at least one "Black Friday" email every day, this morning I had five. Our chain stores here had their Christmas stuff up around the middle of October.

Week before Halloween big box stores were putting out Christmas next you know one day after Easter 4th July goodies will be on display.

Reminds me of the old days of TV back in the 50's. All of the network shows were taped and mailed to the affiliate stations...so, we had Thanksgiving specials at Christmas time, and Christmas specials at Valentines or later. It was really bizarre, until they laid cables and we could get it live. I can still remember some of the commercial Jingles: "The cable is coming, hooray hooray...You'll see it all better on RCA...".

Than there was Christmas song albums Ktel was one,7 to 12 weeks for delivery well after Christmas.

Today we went to Walmart. Giant inflatable Christmas tree out front.

We arrived at Walmart yesterday morning to see 3 employees trying to figure out how to put that giant inflatable Christmas tree up in the breeze we had. They had it up, inflated, and were trying to anchor it when we came out.

Sam's Club had lots of Christmas stuff on display for sale already.

I once heard that Christmas is when you buy something you would love to have, to give to someone who has absolutely no use for it.

I've frequently told people that, compared to me, Scrooge was one of Santa's elves. I hate Christmas and look forward to it being over.

I just remember the first 6 letters in Christmas and it don’t matter about the rest. He is the reason for the season.
