All,
I am a semi-retired Aussie agronomist/farmer, who has been working in Foreign aid for the last few years. I have been mainly working with two wheel tractors (sometimes called power tillers).
We have a two wheel tractor with a simple tool bar on the rear which is 1 metre (40 inches) wide. See picture.
The aim has been to make simple gear to suit minimum and no till - in particular planters.
I used a 'Buffalo' no till slot planter here in Aust. for many years.
However when I quit farming the planter was sold at the clearing sale, and I cannot now locate it.
It was an excellent planter, and I would like to utilise some of the design features to fabricate something similar.
Does anyone have a buffalo planter handy, and they can run a tape over it for me?
I require the measurements as set out below. I have also included a diagram of a Buffalo planter unit with the required measurements indicated.
Imperial or metric - all is fine by me.

A - Horizontal measurement of parallelogram arm (C/C)
B. 坊ertical measurement of parallelogram arm (C/C)
C. 坊ertical distance between ground and upper pivot of coulter arm (C/ground)
D. Underframe clearance between ground and centre of lower parallelogram arm (C/ground)
E. Length of parallelogram arm (C/C)
F. Measurement between upper pivot of coulter arm and front of main tine.
G. Measurement between ground centre of coulter disc and front of slow opener.
H. Distance between ground centre of coulter disc and front of main tine.
I. Diameter of coulter disc
J. Diameter of depth band
I do not require any details regarding the seed drives or metering system as I will have an alternative setup. The soil engaging and ground following part is the section I am interested in.
