On my Ford 555C backhoe on the FRONT bucket, I have a welded edge with the holes along the front where I could add a bolt on cutting edge.

I want to add teeth, or a toothbar so I can do more digging (or skimming topsoil) with the front bucket.

What is the best / easiest / cheapest way to do this.

I am thinking just getting another Markham tooth bar made for this bucket, but was not sure if there was something that used the existing holes in the bucket or not?

Thanks

I still keep thinking about teeth on my bucket, but this CASE digs so nice with a straight cutting edge, I just don't see the benefits. Teeth have their disadvantages, too. Can't plow snow, for one.

Look into a sharper new cutting edge.

Sounds like a toothbar is the best choice, but you'll probably need to drill two holes in the sides of your bucket to hold it on.
