I have a Kioti FEL 130 and the indicator tells me when the bucket is level, but it doesn't come up flush with the guide. It shows about an inch above the rim of the guide when the bucket is level. I found this to be odd, because to me, it should be flush with the guide to tell you it's level. The dealer said this is how it works, but it would be easier if it just was flush to the guide when level. Anybody else find this weird?

That actually happens to be a good thing that the rod is outside the tube when level. If it was flush when level and you needed to tip the bucket down a little to do some work you would not be able to tell how much it is tipped down.
Got this idea from Billrog a few months ago. Slip a piece of 3/4" pex tubing over the tube as in pic. Bucket is level when rod is even with outmost part of tube. If you need to angle the bucket down for ground engaging work you can now see how far below level the rod is.

They are not real scientific. On by tractor it sticks up a few inches but after a while I now where it is to be level.

I lost the rod on my DK35's loader over a year ago. But when I did have it I used a file to rough the rod at the level mark and periodically marked it with a felt pen.

If you don't like it sticking up take a hacksaw to it and the problem is solved.
I think amvcane's reply is why it sticks up.

I agree just trim the rod flush when level if that's what you would rather it be. Be careful to measure the rod , BEFORE cutting so the after trimming you still have enough rod inside tube when bucket is fully dumped, if not when you dump bucket the rod will pull out of the holder and you will end up bending the rod up.

I was going to trim it until dealer told me this was normal. Just thought it was weird.

The only thing I can tell you is on my DK35se the rod is level with the tube when the bucket is level at the ground.

I just set my bucket level and cut the rod off flush with the tube.

My NX4510HST was just the opposite. With the bucket level, the rod was about 1/2" below the top of the tube. After considering several options, I trimmed the tube flush, and that works well for me. For the OP's problem, the PEX tubing solution is clever.
