This has probably been covered before and I'm sorry if it's repetitive but here's my question. What type and/or strength hooks should I have welded on top of my 6' bucket? Also, should I weld a solid 3"x72"x1/4"thick plate across the bucket first or can I get away with just a 2"x3"x1/4" thick plate under both hooks? Lastly, should I place the hooks even with the loader arms or on the ends of the bucket? My loader's lift capacity is 2950 lbs.

Thanks in advance,
Mud

I just found a ton of threads on Parts/Repairs about hooks on buckets. Please disregard this question.

Thanks,

How about some links for us other ignorant yet curious folk.

BTW Mud, if you are going to weld bucket hooks on don't forget to leave space in the center to weld on your grapple!;)
