Forks bucket forks

Looking for a set of bucket forks.. What do you all recomend. I have a 23 hp MF

want to move firewood and and wood pellets. want the forks to attach to the fel on my tractor

With that small or a tractor I think you would be wasting your money.

Pallet forks put the load way out in front and you wouldn't be able to haul near as much as you could if you just load up the bucket.

I'm not sure what your tractor is of what the lift capacity is, but a 23HP sub-compact machine in general has about 600-700lb capacity at the pins, which is about 400-500 at the bucket edge, which would only be about 200-300lbs on a pallet in front of the bucket.

Not a waste of time... I have a 24hp bota 7610.. kinda small bucket..but with forks I can carry one of my pallets of cut split and dryed firewood over to my bulkhead with no problem...and if i ever get my grapple parts cut out I'm sure they will be handy for them too...

You can use them, but it will be a bit limited.

There are a few types of forks -

1. Ones that attach to your bucket with thumbscrews
2. Ones that attach to your bucket with small binders
3. Ones that attach with both of the above.

Before I changed to my current tractor, on which I disconnect my bucket and attach a quick tach set of forks, I had a TC33 and I had the third type I mentioned. I like them because the thumb screws are perfect for light duty stuff like brush, whereas I could add the binders for heavier loads. Small loads of firewoods and pellets will be within your capacity, but don't expect to be lifting a whole lot more.

The problem with forks that go on the bucket is that the load is in front of the bucket, which greatly reduces the rated lift capacity of the FEL. However, for what you want to do, it should work ok.

Go to ebay and do a search for "tractor pallet". Alot of options will come up - most with free shipping and fairly reasonbly priced

that sounds good. Do you have some more pictures of how the chain hooks to the bucket. I would like to see a view from the drivers seat, underside of the bucket.

We have them on sell on eBay for $149.99 shipped to your door. The nice thing about the chain style versus the clamp on style (We make both) is the clamp on style will "V" out and come loose. They work great for pallets and that is about it. They chain style works great for pallets and brush/debris. They are solid as a rock. You can hit the chain style with a sledge hammer and they do not move until you yourself take them off.

Be careful. Learn the lift capacity with the forks on, I have some (not bolt attach, they actually fit on a frame that attaches to the loader mounts) and I brought the rear end of my Kioti CK30 off the ground with a pallet of interlock with only about 5 layers of bricks on it. It was scary.

That said, for lighter work, as long as I have ballast on the back forks are major league handy.
