Bucket Cutting Edge

Anyone add an additional bolt on cutting edge to the front of their bucket? If so, where did you get it and roughly how much does one cost? Any online sources? I got a new 401 loader and would like to protect it. Thanks.

I got mine from the township when they change grader blades,didn't cost nothing and to my surprise bolted right on.

Dealers sell a bolt on edge. I added two bolts, one at each end, equidistantly spaced to keep the edge from bending. The edge is reversible. Fits the holes in the FEL edge. Couple hundred, IIRC. Works well and protects the factory bucket edge. Had my dealer drill the extra holes with their clamp on magnet drill. Cut like butter. Space them 1/2 way from end to first bolt hole.

I welded on a strip of 1/2" AR 400 plate. Preheat, 3/16" 7018 electrodes, skip welded. It has been on 600 hours and taken lots of abuse. I didn't want the bolts sticking up is why I didn't use a factory bolt on edge. Also I welded on vertical corners (such as are fairly commonly seen on some tractor buckets) to help with wear, digging, and loading. The factory edge doesn't have those.
