Buckboard project...

I completed this project from the help of Stan Bennett a member on this site. It has been a great fun project. If you would like to make this buckboard I can show you other pics of the project if you wish. It is not a working wagon, (but the wheels do go round) but it could be with a little more time involved, it is strictly for decoration in the yard.

Although I was aware that a "buckboard" was a horse-drawn wagon from watching TV and movie Westerns, I didn't know what made it a "buckboard." Thanks to your post and Wikipedia, I now know.

The "buckboard" is the front-most board on the wagon that could act as both a footrest for the driver and protection for the driver from the horse's rear hooves in case of a "buck".

Very nice. With a bigger seat and functional running gear it could work nicely behind a mini horse.

Very nice work. Great project and looks like it was fun to do. I would like to learn how to weld but that is something for the future. I have toooooo many projects going on now and am not very good to finish, I need to finish some projects.

I am new to welding, well for at least the past 2 years anyway. I have a Millermatic wirefeed welder with argon tank attached. Welding today is alot easier than in the past. The machine sets up most of the temp and correct parameters for welding projects. Just pull the trigger and have at it.
As far as projects go, I need another one now that I finished the buckboard, I'm not sure what it will be though. Thanks for the reply.
