BT600 Boom Pin Removal

Has anyone removed the main pin pivot pin at the bottom of the boom? One of the dipper stick cylinder hoses has developed a leak. At least I hope its a hose....I was wondering if there are any words of wisdom or gotcha's that anyone that has done this before may have.

If its a hose I plan on replacing both while I have the pin out.

Good luck is all that I can say. I had a leaking hose in one of the backhoe cylinders, and could not get the boom pin out at all. I ended up having to take it to the dealer to have the pin removed and replaced every hose on the back hoe. Since the majority of the labor was just getting it apart, it was good insurance to replace them all.

I know that the boom pin on this machine has been removed twice before to replace hoses. I just wasn't the one that did it. I came up after the fact both times it was out and never saw him go back together with it
