Broom for B3030

I watched a tractor with a front broom on it sweeping the sand off of the town fields from the flooding this spring. It struck me that this would be an awesome tool for dethatching the yard. I figure I could broom the stuff right into the woods. I also could use it for leaf clean up in the fall.

Any thoughts on that idea? Anybody run one on their tractor? Does it run from my mid PTO? I already have the hitch up front for my blade. Any sense of the cost?

Never heard of it for the B3030 but I do know that they make it for the BX. The description says for sweeping and dethatching with optional wheel kit. I would love one but right now I need to find a rck54-23BX MMM first. WOuld ne nice as you said. Good luck

To have the blade frame you would only need to add the drive system(same for a snow blower) and you could go to the broom.

Not sure if you have a snow blower or not but if you're thinking of a front broom than you might as well get a front blower too. I do believe they share the same sub frame and driveline kit. I've always wondered about how well a broom would work in the winter too. Between what a snow blower doesn't get and those snow falls that just aren't enough to justify using the blower I think abroom would work great.

My wholegoods list is a couple years old, but here are some rough prices:

mid PTO driveline $620.00
60" sweeper $4,000.00
Castor kit $425.00
hydraulic angle kit $450.00

I wouldn't mind a sweeper myself, but not at those prices. Plus.... where would I put it?
