As the service manager said, I had a "catestropic gear failure" of the transmission of my BX 23 at 225 hours. In frustration after 3 weeks I went to see the management of the dealer and sent an e-mail to Kubota. Result, we found that the replacement gears would be another 3 weeks arriving from Japan plus putting it all back together so I insisted I needed a loaner to bush hog my now overgrown field. They agreed and hauled me out a brand new B3030 with my bush hog on it. They knew what they were doing. After using it this weekend I went in today and traded my BX for the B3030.
I am getting the B3030 with the 54"QA FEL and the BH75 backhoe with 16" bucket. I can't wait for these attachments to arrive. The tractor is so totally different from the BX. All day Saturday I didn't need to go into 4wd and it seems more stable on slopes. I thought the B3030 would be too large to get around mowing in the woods but the turning radius is to tight I think it could get into more areas than the BX.
Anyway, I am excited and can't wait to get the FEL and BH to play with. Now all I have to do is get the courage to tell my wife!
