Broken B7100

The bracket holding the front axle has broken on my B7100. Has anyone else had this happen. Has anyone had to remove the front axle and if so how difficult. To do it properly I fear the front subframe may have to be removed.

Any and all advice will be gratefully appreciated.

Can't afford to trade up.

Egon, I also have an older Kubota. You won't get much response at this forum. Most guys are getting brand new stuff. Maybe a new forum could be set up that deals with owners of Kubotas that are a little bit older.
Don't have a direct answer for you but I have seen a good welder repair major castings with good results.

This is not a broken casting. It's part of the welded up steel front subframe. Welding will be no problem. The problem involves removing the front axle as the pin/bolt it is attached with cannot be removed as the oilpan is in the way.

Looked at it yesterday and it would appear the simpest method is taking apart the front end and remove the subframe. This would be best anyway as then the weld can be done from both sides.

Am going to phone dealer this morning and probably take it in. Should do it myself but have to work outside and then don't have an overhead hoist to lift and hold the front up so everything can be removed. Also means there will be a bunch of fluids spilt on the driveway which I don't want.
