My friend has that tractor, and what should I warn him about?

How did it crack? Any idea?

Talk about "ABUSING" a tractor...you should have gotten a D10 bulldozer instead. From your previous posting.. let's see....

1) Diff lock not working
2) 4WD engagement issue
3) Now a broken frame

To me this shows all the signs of operator misuse!

Maybe it is the tractor and not the operator. Do we really know?

Those failures all show the same thing and it's the failure of the operator to either know how to use the tractor or to perform the correct maintenance on it. It takes a lot to break or crack a tractor frame and the most likely reason is failure to keep the bolts tighten. The other problems all point to the operator not reading the owners manual.

I would love to see a photo of his tractor? or does he even own one? I like seeing broken stuff and hearing the story that goes with it.

I just bought a 3215 and the dealer called me up and said that there was a frame rail kit that needed to be installed. He offered to put it in but I dont want to loose the tractor so I picked up and I'm going to install. I'm away from home for the next couple of days but when I get back I will take some pictures of the kit and post.
