Locked and loaded ready for winter!!! Got the weatherbreak, rear window, blower, weights, and oil changed. Let her snow.
Looks good, I need a weather break! already got the canopy, where did you get it? looks like it would fit my 4310, I'm sure I could fit a pc of plexi back there also.
The guy that works for me just said I should get a cab for the winter, I told him that was out of the question but that soft side might be a good compromise.

It's a Femco brand weatherbreak. Wasn't exactly made for my 3203, because Femco and others didn't make them for the 3203 at the time, but was able to make it fit fairly descent. I purchased it a couple yrs ago from a company on e-bay that had them for a descent discount over dealer costs.
The plexi rear window is easy to make and install,(I use 5 zip-ties), and the manual wiper blade was also an e-bay special I found in the boat section there. Works wonders to clear the snow that blows back!!
FEMCO, Inc. there are other mfgs of weatherbreaks and enclosures out there too.

Thanks, We may of had this same exchange last year.
This year I am gonna seriously consider one, I don't blow snow but do alot of snow removal with my tractor.
I enjoy the seat time in the winter, probably do more hours in the winter than in the summer but sometimes it's not fun when your chilled to the bone. A full cab would be sweet for the nasty days but I like to be out in the fresh air on the decent days.

JJMarotz, How do you keep it from steaming up on the inside, or snow off the outside? Do you have a heater in the cab? Also, I am interested if your blower came with the electric chute control, or did you build that yourself?

The gap around the top between weatherbreak and the canopy provides enuf air circulation that I have never fogged up. No heater, just the heat from the engine blowing back keeps things semi warm. So far I havn't had a problem with snow sticking too bad on the outside.
The chute rotator was my build. It came with a hand crank, which quickly got replaced with that little 12v motor.

JJ - Nice job on the electric chute rotation. I just picked up a snowblower with manual chute and want to do the same. Any info on how you did it - e.g. what motor and bearings, where did you get them, etc - would be greatly appreciated!

I did manage to find it cheaper than that one, but same thing. No bearings were used. I made 2 different sized sleeves to adapt the motor shaft to the original hand crank tube. And the motor is mounted to the blowers original handcrank bracket, that way if the motor pukes out on me I can remove it quickly and reatatch the hand crank.
