For years I've wanted to join the to two halves of the property that are separated by a creek. Always had to use a Town road, on the bank to the left. More and more traffic on that street.....so. Hire an engineer( uncle ), hire an architect (son in law), hire a project coordinator (grandson) and a labor force ( me ). I'm in the creek...or should that be "up the creek". More pics when the Golden Gate II is finished !

Lower half of the footers and sub-frame. Project is running out of funds. Vacations can be expensive. Maybe I'll apply for a government grant!/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gifHEY, they've spent more money on worse things.

Dass,

I have a ditch that carries rain run off mostly, between two sections of my property.

I first built a little bridge using some steel piling pieces and a couple small H beams I got for free from work. It was OK and could carry my B2910 kubota without problem, but I later put in a 20 foot piece of 18 inch ID pipe beside it, and the pipe was much better than the bridge. Wider is better...

So I am wondering if you considered pipe? THis smooth black ABS plastic pipe is pretty nice stuff and not too expensive.

THis far into the project you will not want to change, but it is something to consider for the future. I like the pipe much better than the bridge I used to have...sewers came through this year and they destroyed my pipe and bridge, but I salvaged the metal, and they put 40' of the same pipe back in the ground, so I am happier now than I was with the 20 foot piece... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I would need a permit for a pipe , Henro, but not required for a bridge under 800 sq.ft. It would likely have taken months to get the paper work done. A lot of folks from the city are on the Town Board and ......uh....better NOT go there /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif!!!

When the upper half of the footers are poured and the crossmembers are welded on , I'll have to work on that. Not sure, yet.

Is the center beam set on its side, or had it not yet been set when the picture was taken?

The center one is slightly lower than the other two so it can be shimmed to compensate for frost heave.
