Hi all!
I have a 2013 Branson 5220C tractor. I presently drive my three point hitch backhoe with a stand alone PTO mount hyd. Pump. I have been considering using one of the factory supplied rear hyd ports.

Questions:
Does anyone here have a similar set-up?
Does anyone use the supplied ports?.... If so which ones did you use?
My backhoe is rated for max.10 gpm....will rear ports work ok?

This is my rig...the point hitch mount...used it to install new septic field lines..18" wide
Bought an old LONG ( manufacturer) backhoe..rebuilt it...I think it is around a 1985 model...it did the job!

That's a nice looking rig. Nice decision on matching the backhoe to the tractor.

We need more details about your current PTO pump before we can help you.

Depending on the GPM of the current pump, you might not see much difference by using the tractor remotes. In fact, it can actually be slower.

Personally, I would keep it a standalone backhoe. Since you have the 540E PTO speed, you can run it at a much slower engine RPM (less noise/fuel) than you would by running of the tractor's hydraulics. And this way, it also gives you the possibility of slightly overspeeding the backhoe if you really need more speed.

When using the Branson BH760 I run my 3725 at 2000 rpm. That makes the BH plenty fast for me. I had to add restrictors to slow down the boom so it would not jerk the tractor around. That may be due to the valve stack on the BH. And of course yours is larger so it probably would move slower on the tractor's 10 gpm.

My Backhoe runs off a PTO PUmp. All my movements seem good...I think the pump is original with the LONG backhoe.

I would like to see ( pictures) how everyone is plumbing their Branson tractors with backhoes
