I was going over my new tractor ( which I am loving) and found this:


A plug with two small holes and a bracket with two holes.

Just wondering what attaches to it...

My 4720 has the same plug, I assume it is for a hazard strobe.

I was going to say left-outside mirror since I didn't see one in the pic. Is that a connector hanging behind it? If so, may be for a CB radio antenna which farmers use/used before the advent of the cell phone. Course if their farm is outside the range of any towers the cell wouldn't be working anyway. Check your owners manual in the front sections where they detail this and that.

That makes sense as the connector seems to be a 2 connector 12v plug rather than a coaxial cable type that would be used with an RF antenna installation.

They probably fit a switch in the cab upon installation of the beacon or does it come standard with the cab?

I dont think mine has a switch for it, not sure where that wire leads to.

Does it come on with the 4-way hazards, I wonder?

Mine has the same thing, but I've never investigated it.

I happened to have my meter in my hand as I was walking past my 8050 so I stopped;
my connector hangs by the left mirror and has a steady 12 volts whenever the light switch is turned on,
not the flashers.

Would make adding a light bar or spotlight a bit easier.
