Brakes Locking up on Kioti.

I've a 2007 kioti DK 45. Released the parking brake and brakes lock up after pressing brake pedal. If I tape the brake pedal, brakes release. Pedal travels a lot before engaging brakes.

Thoughts?

Have you checked if all the return springs on the either the linkage or pedals are in place and not damaged or missing? I would start there.

If not that, my theory is that the brake discs are wore out and the cam system that presses the discs inside the axle housing is getting very close to go over center.

Any signs of a problem before this or did it just suddenly start locking up the brakes? Turning brakes or one single brake pedal? Could be worn out or possibly just adjusting might help.

Any thoughts? Just one. Adjust the brakes so you have proper pedal travel and see what that improves.
