I just can't see anything working on that much grassy land except a big disk. Anything with teeth or tines is going to make a giant birds nest every few yards you travel. You're going to have to cut it, and turn it over. You may have to hire it done. Disk it up, let it dry, powder it up, apply pre-emergent herbicide, and be done with it. You may have to wait until next year, as the weather probably won't be suitable at this point.
You can always justify a box blade for other chores. They're great for small landscaping jobs, but 4-5 acres is about the limit... unless you don't mind days of seat time.

Jim,
I have had these field cultivators called a "Do it all" in Mississippi with good success. I am not suggesting that this will take the place of a good chisel plow but to break up the roots and clumps enough to dethatch (for lack of a better term) it will work. A good quaity S tine should vibrate when you run it.

I'm not slammin' anyone, but, around here any disturbed non irrigated soil in the spring especially gets the neighbors upset and the EPA on your butt. The wind just blows the soil so badly around here you wind up tryin' to overseed and use chemicals to kill the weeds that you don't want. We have a lot of dryland wheat farming done farther away from the cities and even now it's being put into vineyards or orchards or big subdivisions. Dust is the enemy for the city folk around here. bjr

I'm not sure about doing a 100 ac with this but it has a video to show how it works. Fred Cain Tractor 9 Shank 3 Point Field Cultivator, Ripper, Tillage Tool, Jitterbug, Field plow, Bermuda grass plow At the least you should be able to run your disc after if you wanted to bust it up more.
