I want to get a box blade for my bobcat ct235. I have looked online at every brand I can think of, woods, land pride, bush hog, king kutter, rhino, united, and countryline by tsc. I know I do not want a rhino because there are no local dealers, I do not want the country line because the united looks better for the same money. I like how the king kutter professional and the woods gb72 are gusseted in the corner. I like that the bush hog sbx is made out of 3/8" metal. It would make a nice ballast because it is so heavy. I have heard that the scarfires on it do not go very deep. The king kutter pro looks nice but is almost woods price but it weighs less. What would you recommed? How well has your box blade held up? Any input would be appreciated.

I have a woods and it has held up great, I've ripped off two shank tips, but they are easily replaced. The box blade is heavy and strong, I have nothing but rocks and kick the snot out of it.

I have a United and I am at least the second owner. I am pretty rough on it and no bends, no problems at all.

Have you looked at the Bobcat box blades? 958lbs for a 72" heavy duty box blade. :thumbsup: Bobcat says that it is ok to use behind a CT235.
A bobcat box blade would be nice to have. The heavy duty one has hydraulic scarfires. I know when you get a price quote online for a tractor that box blade is $3000. I do not know how much the regular bobcat box blade is with out a new tractor purchase.

Those would be good as they look to be rebadged gannon landscaper boxes. I doubt they will be cheap. Probably $2400 range with manual scar bar.
What you get would depend on what you want to do with it and the ground you will be working. We have lots of shale in some areas and heavy clay with granite rocks from fist to mack truck sized (stupid glaciers!). If you have sandy or loamy soils, it may be over kill. But you will never harm it with your tractor!

That is quite a price. Do you need such a beast? You should be able to find a decent BB for less than 1/2 that, probably less. You do not have the weight or the traction to generate the force needed to destroy most well built Box blades. I am not slamming your tractor at all. I just think you may be overspending.
I would buy the United again, but it is not the best. King Kutter (Heavy Duty not the regular line) is a good looking unit. Woods is hard to beat. They make some that look to be made like a tank.

Have you considered used? I just bought an ancient, 60 inch box grader from a friend for $200. Not sure the brand, but it's a beast. There aren't a lot of moving parts on these to wear out.
