I decided i want to build a box blade for my bx24. I have all the time and materials (other than the shanks) at my job. I wanted to make something simple and simular to the woods heritige series. http://www.woodsequipment.com/WorkArea/downloadasset.aspx?id=11877
I dont know what the dimensions would be but i am just throwing numbers out there and gonna go with it... Does anyone have any input on what dimensions or idea that would make this better?

Dimensions I am going for...
Side plates: 15" x 20" x 1/4"
Back Blade/scrapper: 48" x 16" x 1/4"
Bar that holds shanks: 2" x 2" x 48"
4 or 5 shanks

still more to figure out...

Do a search on threads by MJPetersen and look at his rollover project. He does some really nice work as well as many others here but his project was the first to come to mind. Some one else built a box blade in just the last few months so you may want to search box blades and be prepared for quite a few hits. I do not think you shank bar at 2x2 will be enough.

hit a farm store and take scratch paper and a tape mesure with you.. measure some and see what you get.

There's actually another thread called "Box Blade Build" and someone posted a link to some plans to build a BB that you can download free. It looks like a pretty decent design too.
