Box blade hitch ball.

Anyone else ever use their box blade to move goose neck trailers with? I mounted a 2 5/16" ball on the back of my Frontier 5 1/2" box blade by drilling out the existing center hole to 1" and mounting the ball there. Seems to work pretty well.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

I welded a reciever on the back of mine. Saves me taking it off

I never use my box blade but i do use my rear blade alot to move trailers sure make's it fast and easy.

I welded a ball to the top of my LP quick hitch, has worked great for many years

Just a thought... You said gooseneck trailer moving. Remember when moving a goose neck the point of attachment is above the center of the rear wheel. This is an invitation to disaster if the trailer is or was enough load to make the tractor rear up. A change in land elevation or a snag will change a docile trailer into something that forces the tractor to throw its front to the sky.
