Kubota BX24
Well I pulled out the checkbook and bought a BX24. I was leaning toward the MF2310 until I read the posts here and think that the Bota will work out better for me in the long run. Even without any posts I got some good info from this forum.

Unit is in stock at a local dealer and should get it by Saturday.

Thanks all. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Congrats! I'm up to about 20 hrs on mine. I have about 200 feet of trenches in the backyard right now for sprinkler pipe that I dug in about 4 hrs.
You'll love it.

Thanks for the encouragement. I'll get it on Saturday and probably do some bush hogging to try it out. Got a great deal from my local dealer. 14,800 for the tractor and 650 for a 48" bush hog. I've got a piece of lakefront property that is waiting for some rip-rap to build a sea wall and some grading for a dock. I think it will be up to the challenge.

You're gonna love it! 29 hrs on mine, plenty of time to find out that the BX24 was a great choice for me. My only regret is not buying one years ago (mighta been a 23 though /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I just got back from the dealer and signed the papers. I decided to go with a 3' bush hog and put a tooth bar on the loader. I have a lot of trees and overgrown area that the 4' hog looked too big to get around. I hope the tooth bar will help with digging and breaking up this clay we have around here.

Cheers.

What brand, and how much, was the tooth bar? I looked at the Kubota sight today...they didn't list one.

I'll let you know tomorrow as he didn't have it on yet. I saw one on a MF2310 and it really looked like it would beef up the bucket. He said it was about a $200 item.

Good luck with the BX! They really help out. I got a tooth bar on mine and it really helps with digging. I paid 175.00 for mine when I got it. Im not sure of the brand...dont recall seeing any markings on it

Got my BX24 a week or so ago and love it. Moved some pretty huge rocks (boulders actually) and started leveling the back yard. Using the BH to loosen the dirt/rocks and then the FL to move the soil to low end of the lawn. Slow going thus far. Maybe I should of gotten a Box Blade???? Not sure if a Box Blade would work well since I have 5 & 10 inch rocks every 2 feet????

How difficult is it to add a tooth bar to a FL????? Anyone know?

Enjoy your tractor !!! /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
