alittle further down the nostalgia road, i rode to school with my buddy that had a 49 plymouth, now this car had a heater, or so the controls indicated, but we froze our a___ off many a day. but was still fun. course i was young and stupid back in 58.

My father had 2 Corvairs when I was young, I don't know the years. I must have been 8 or 9. My brother and I would fold the back seat up; under the seat was like a metal bench which was slick. My dad would go around curves; we would try to crush each other as we slid into each other. I can still remember how much fun that was. That is all I remember of the Corvair.

Well I'm much older but surely no wiser and have less knowledge than when young .

Whole pile less energy too!

But sure gained some weight; all muscle of course!

49 plymouth with a big box sitting on the front passengers side called a heater. Better than nothing but couldn't keep winshields clear. Remember the stick on glass pads for winter that helped keep the windows clear and the dash mounted add on fans directed at the windshield . Then there was the pleasure of getting that flathead six too start up.
