Bore scopes

I am wanting to buy a bore scope and was wondering if anyone could recomend an affordable one. Is there any to stay away from. What specifications should I look for.

Depending on what you need to see, you might also look at the LCD inspection cameras like Milwaukee and Home Depot (Ridgid) sell.

I want to be able to look in the bores and lifter area of my race engine. And also thought it would be good at work for finding where oil leaks are comming from when you cant get your head close enough to see.

G'day i use a snap on one at work and find it very good 8 mm head on it and adjustable brightness along with a mirror that slips on the end of it to see at 90deg to the camera. You guys have prob got a better range to choose from over there we are fairly limited here with what is available good luck they are a handy tool
