Boot replacement

How do I go about replacing a rubber boot on the tractor? I actually have several that need to be done, but here's the first one:

Here's the parts diagram. I'm guessing I can just pry off the insert at the top of the lever, remove the screw and the knob will come right off?

Do I have this right? It looks like I will destroy the insert in trying to get it off. Any words of advice before I jump into this?

Some of those tops are threaded and screw off, others as you say are a press fit. Ive not worked on your type so cannot help.

If you look at the orange top to the knob there is a small pry notch (I think at the rear, but might be the front), pry off the orange top, remove the nut, then the bottom half of the knob will pull off.
